Accessing your smart or advanced meter consumption data
From 1st October 2024, all customers (or their representatives) can access their half-hourly consumption data for free via ‘My Account’, the Shell Energy self-serve portal. This portal is designed to empower customers to gain accessible insight into their energy consumption and enable them to make insight driven energy decisions. It is designed to be easy to use and customers can decide on the time period, with up to 12 months historic data available by default, and the granularity of the data. This can be up to half-hour intervals. It is also possible to extract the data via a download and use your preferred data analytics tool to crunch the numbers.

Available to all smart and advanced meter customers the portal enables customers (or their representatives) to view, download, and track their energy consumption for free from any location 24/7. This will allow for increased visibility and insight driven energy decisions.
Access Smart or AMR (Automatic Meter Read) Power and Gas Half-Hourly consumption data with handy graphs to show trends and consumption patterns across a range of granularities.
Accessing this data will help our customers to gain valuable insights into their energy usage across their business sites.

If you wish to access this data before 1st October 2024, we are currently offering an on-request data service. Simply get in touch with our team and we will discuss options to provide you with your consumption data.
Please note, if you have recently transferred to Shell Energy, or you have a complex metering arrangement, then your data may not be automatically displaying. Please contact our team if you experience any challenges using the portal.
Providing access to this data for your nominated third party
If you wish to nominate a third-party to access this data on your behalf, then you will need to submit a Letter of Authority clearly stating that you provide the necessary consent for them to access this information on your behalf. Once permission has been granted, your nominated third party will be provided with all the necessary permissions to view and access your smart consumption data.
