Shell Energy announces key strategic appointment
Shell Energy UK Ltd, Shell’s energy supply arm for UK businesses, has announced the appointment of Kate Derrick as Director of Industrial and Commercial Enterprise Sales. Joining the business with immediate effect, the move demonstrates Shell Energy’s commitment to continued growth, development and progress.
With extensive knowledge of the UK energy industry and having won the Women in Sales Award in 2014, Derrick brings more than 20 years’ experience gained with brands including Powergen (now owned by E.ON), EnergyQuote and Fulcrum UK. Most recently, she held the role of Head of Direct Sales at npower Business Solutions, where she set up new sales teams, improved performance and built a better experience for its customers.
Based at Shell Energy’s UK headquarters, Derrick will work closely with the senior leadership team to continue to drive long-term business growth. Alongside positioning products and propositions in front of consultants and business energy users, key responsibilities will include forming new relationships with businesses in the energy industry and ensuring exceptional service for existing customers.
